1953 Topps
#27 Roy Campanella

Dodgers Hall-of-Fame catcher Roy Campanella is featured on this key 1953 Topps issue. This is the second standard Topps card to feature Campanella, and it was an MVP Award year issue.

One of the most iconic members of the beloved Dodgers teams of the late 1940's and 1950's, Campanella enjoyed a stellar 10-year career (1948-57), all with Brooklyn. He was named to eight straight All Star teams (1949-56), won three National League MVP Awards (1951, 1953, and 1955), and was an integral member of the celebrated 1955 World Series championship team.

This spectacular piece is the one and only example graded GEM MINT 10 by PSA! It is highlighted by outstanding centering, extraordinarily clean edges and borders, four pristine corners, ultra-bold coloration, and an electrifying glossy finish. A world-class gem in all respects!
